fiv-architecture is a young practice started in 2008 by Fiona Vigar, a Chartered Architect who qualified in 1987. Her professional career has encompassed projects in the South of England, Scotland and Europe, and both Urban and Rural locations. Her designs have been largely within the Residential sector, from one-off Private Houses to public-funded Institutional Schemes, interspersed with several small Community, Commercial and Mixed-Use projects. All her designs have been generated from unique client briefs, producing individual solutions for end users from all walks of society.

fiv-architecture aims to push boundaries further:

  • reducing the Carbon Footprints for both New Build, Conservation and Refurbishment
  • increasing the use of Locally Sourced materials and detailing, Natural building materials, and Re-Using products or those that can be Re-Used where economically feasible
  • respecting Ecological environments employing Low Impact strategies
  • designing for Climate Change, challenging our current Work / Life Balance, and "Future-Proofing" buildings to extend their Lifetimes / Life-cycles.

This website will be growing shortly with further details of the range of work that the practice can undertake for clients located in Central and South-West of England. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact the practice using the details opposite, and feel free to comment on this single page draft.
